Single Equality Scheme
We are currently developing a single equality scheme in accordance with the new Equality Diversity and Human Rights Strategy for the Police Service (published by the Association of Chief Police Officers, the Association of Police Authorities and the Home Office), The Equality Standard for the Police Service (published by the National Policing Improvement Agency) and the Equality Act 2010.
The single equality scheme will replace the race, disability and gender equality schemes which the Constabulary have had in place between 2000-2010. A Report reviewing those three equality schemes was submitted to the Police Authority (Community Engagement Committee) on July 29th 2010 (item 8) and can be viewed on the Hampshire Police Authority website.
