Operation Muslin – Elderly woman injured in Winchester crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash on the A31 in Winchester.

An 82-year-old woman from Itchen Abbas, was driving a BMW car along Lovington Lane towards the A31, when she was in collision with a Ford Focus being driven by a 25-year-old man from Salisbury.

The collision occurred near to the junction from Lovington Lane onto the A31 at about 7.35pm on Friday, November 5.

The elderly woman was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester with serious injuries. She remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 94-year-old man who was a passenger in the BMW sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital for treatment.

The 25-year-old man sustained minor bruising and was also taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital for treatment.
