Operation Aba – Police appeal for witnesses after man dies in East Wellow crash

Police are appealing for information about a fatal crash which happened in East Wellow on Sunday (Feb 20) morning.

Shortly before 7.20am, a 29-year-old man was driving a silver BMW 316 on the A3090 at East Wellow, near to the junction with Ridge Lane.

For reasons unknown, the car left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, from the Romsey area, died as a result of his injuries. Officers from Fratton Roads Policing Unit are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch.
