Police issue warning after suspicious incident in Lindford
Police officers are reminding residents to be vigilant after a suspicious incident in which a man approached three young girls.
At about 7.30pm on Friday, June 24, three 12-year-old girls were approached while they were walking in the woods between Hawthorn Way and the Londis store in Lindford.
The man spoke to the girls, but they found his behaviour odd and so contacted the police.
The man is described as white, of medium build, aged between his mid 40s and early 50s. He was between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall and had collar-length blond hair. He was unshaven and was wearing a blue fleece top and jeans, and possibly builder-type boots.
PC Edwina Hart said: “Although no offences appear to have been committed, I would advise members of the public to be vigilant.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who has any information about this man or who may have had a similar experience.”
