Detectives from the Major Crime Department investigating the murder of a man in Aldershot, have made a second arrest.
A 24-year-old man from Aldershot has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
A 43-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody at this time.
The arrests come after a man died in an incident in the town in the early hours of Wednesday, July 20. Shortly after 3.15am, officers were called to Basing Drive following reports of an altercation. Upon arrival, a man was discovered with serious injuries and was taken to Frimley Park Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.
The man has been named as Andrew Rickwood, aged 45, of Basing Road, Aldershot.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Chris Fitchet, said: "We have made significant progress with this investigation but we are still appealing for people who have any information to come forward.
"No matter how small or insignificant it may seem, we would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about this incident.
"There has been some unavoidable disruption within the local community while we conduct necessary enquiries and we thank the public for their patience and understanding."
