Police appeal for information after £500 of gardening equipment stolen in Basingstoke
Police are appealing for information after a number of expensive gardening tools were stolen from a garage in Basingstoke.
Some time overnight on Saturday, June 18 into Sunday, June 19, offender(s) broke into a locked garage in Worting Road.
When the victim – an 84-year-old man – went to the garage on Sunday morning, he discovered that various electrical and gardening tools had been stolen. The equipment is thought to be worth about £500.
PC Erin Davis said: “I would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious around the Worting Road and Western Way area from 7pm onwards on Saturday and into Sunday morning.”
