Police release name of man who died in Southsea flat fire
The name of a man who died following a fire at a flat in Southsea has been released by police.
Adrian Hamm, of Omega House, Omega Street, was rescued from the flat after a fire broke out at about 3.20pm on Monday, December 20.
However, the 47-year-old was pronounced dead upon arrival at Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service put out the fire and discovered a grenade and some other firearms at the premises. These were found to be replicas and not of any threat to other residents. They were items of military memorabilia.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
