Police have released an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to following a theft from a business premises in Farnborough.

Shortly before 4.30pm on Friday, August 19, an employee of Sports Active Therapy in Farnborough saw a man going through her handbag, which was at the reception desk. She told him to stop and then he took her purse and ran out of the building on Farnborough Road.

The woman chased the man and followed him up Farnborough Road, down the alleyway to the side of the multi-storey car park to Kingsmead. The man then crossed the road and ran into the Sainsbury’s car park and towards the Travelodge and the Nationwide building society onto Victoria Road. He was last seen crossing Victoria Road and running down a gated alleyway next to the Royal Bank of Scotland.

The stolen purse is a brown Mulberry purse which has a brass button with a mulberry bush on it and contained a driving licence, several debit cards, a NHS card, several business receipts and about £350 in cash.

The man is described as white, aged about 19, of a slim build, with dark brown short hair

PCSO James Charlton said: “If you recognise this man or saw him running through Farnborough, especially anywhere north of Victoria Road, please contact me.”
