Detectives appeal for witnesses after fire at Fleet charity shop

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a charity shop in Fleet was damaged by a fire.

Officers were called to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Shop, in Fleet Road, Fleet, shortly before 10pm on Sunday, May 9, following reports of a fire.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended and the fire was extinguished.

Officers from the Arson Task Force have been examining the scene and are working with detectives to determine the cause of the fire, which at this time is unknown.

Detective Constable Sarah Moyce-Phillips said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire who may have seen something suspicious.”
