Police appeal for information after car keys and car are stolen in Basingstoke
Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen from outside a house in Basingstoke.
Some time between 11pm on Thursday, May 19 and 7.20am on Friday, May 20, a set of keys were stolen from a house in Matilda Drive, Hatch Warren.
A SEAT Leon car, which was parked at the side of the house in Cropmark Way, was then stolen.
The car has a body kit on it and is very distinctive in colour – bright yellow.
PC Erin Davis said: “This burglary happened overnight and it would appear that the offenders were only interested in stealing the vehicle as nothing else was taken from the house.
“I would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has seen the vehicle since Friday morning.
“I would also like to remind people to keep their car keys out of sight and not to keep them anywhere near windows or doors.”
Can you help?
