Police appeal for witnesses after Christmas lights stolen from garden centre near Alton

 Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at Hillside Nurseries in Beech, near Alton.

Sometime between 6pm on September 26 and 8am on September 27, offender(s) broke into the premises in Basingstoke Road, and stole a variety of items.

These included –
• Torches• Christmas lights
• Garden spades, forks and other tools
• A silver Acer laptop
• A black Sony viao laptop
 • £250 in cash

PC Dale Pusey said: “Did you notice anything out of the ordinary on the A339 near Alton overnight? Any vehicles parked up or people acting suspiciously?

“Also, have you been offered cheap tools or Christmas lights for sale? If so please contact me.

“This is a local small business which has lost out and it needs the support of the local community to help us catch these criminals.”
