Detectives appeal for witnesses after daytime burglary in Farnborough

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary in Farnborough.

At about 4pm on Saturday, May 7, a man returned to his home in Church Road East, and found the side door of his property open.

When the victim went into his home, he saw that his belongings were scattered over the floor and he heard noises from the bedroom.

He then saw a man – described as white, aged in his 20s, of a slim build and about 5ft 10ins tall – holding a knife.

The man, who had short dark hair and was wearing a navy blue top, then made threats towards the victim. He ran off towards Church Circle and was chased by the victim.

An Acer laptop and a Sony digital camera were stolen from the house.

Detective Constable Claire Nicholls said: "This was a aggravated burglary which occurred in the daytime which has caused the victim to fear for his personal safety.

"If you witnessed anything suspicious or know anything which could be related to this case, please contact me."
