Police are investigating after a woman was found dead at an address in Wells Close, Portsmouth.
Police were alerted around 8pm on Monday, April 13, and found the body of the woman inside the property.
A post mortem examination is due to take place later today.
The circumstances surrounding the death are not yet known, and officers are currently carrying out a number of enquiries.
A 47-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently still in police custody.
