Detectives in Portsmouth are appealing for witnesses and information after a robbery at a shop in Copnor on Tuesday, December 21.
At around 7.05pm, a man attempted to rob the store manager at the Mini Market in Copnor Road and threatened him with a knife.
A struggle ensued, during which the manager sustained minor injuries.
A member of the public, who was passing the shop at the time of the incident, intervened and assisted in detaining the suspect.
A 35-year-old man from Southsea was arrested in connection with this incident. He is currently in police custody.
