Police are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old was hit on the head with a bottle on Monday, March 30.
At 11.55am, the youth was walking along Meridien Road when he was hit on the head with a glass bottle, which was dropped from one of the flats in Horatia House.
He looked up after the bottle hit him, but could not see anyone there.
The youth received a cut to the top of his head as a result of the incident, which was later treated at the Queen Alexandra hospital.
PC Joanne Clarke said, “This appears to be an unprovoked assault on someone who was simply walking past Horatio House. To have an object thrown at a person in this way is certainly a rare occurrence, and it is fortunate that the injury was not worse. If anyone knows anything about what happened or witnessed this incident, I would ask that they contact police.”
