Police in Portsmouth are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked and robbed by three men. It happened in Sultan Road, North End at 8.30pm on Friday October 31. A 30 year old man from North End was grabbed from behind and forced to the floor, and told to hand over his wallet.
He was kicked in the back and had his pockets searched as he lay on the ground. The men then made off along Sultan Road. The man was treated in hospital for his injuries.
He has only been able to describe one of the attackers:
• Aged between 19 and 25 years old
• 5 ft 7 tall
• Wearing a dark coloured padded jacket and a scarf or mask over his face
A dark brown leather wallet containing cash and cards was stolen in the attack, along with a set of keys with a red and black electronic car fob.
Detective Constable Meltem Sinclair who is investigating said: “The area was busy at the time of this attack and so we’d appeal to anyone who saw what happened to contact us. “Or if you find any of the property which was taken during the attack, please contact police. We are progressing a number of enquiries at this time, including examining CCTV footage of the area.”
