Three men have been charged with kidnap following an incident where a man was taken from Paulsgrove, Portsmouth, to Chichester against his will.
At 7.30am on Monday, July 14, the 30-year-old man met with an acquaintance and two other men in Colesbourne Road, believing they were going to look for work.
The group got into a waiting car, where the doors were locked and the man was assaulted while he was taken to Chichester, before he escaped and called police.
Nathan Saint, 20, of Springfield Close in Lavant, Billy Stallwood, 20, of Worcester Road in Chichester, and Samuel Don, 21, of Springfield Close in Lavant, were all charged on Friday, September 12, and are due to appear at South East Hampshire Magistrates court on October 10.
