Police in Southampton are appealing for information after a taxi driver was held up at gunpoint while he took a break in his car in the city.
The 50-year-old Southampton cabbie was parked in a layby at Tremona Road by the entrance to Holybrook Cemetery near Southampton General Hospital.
As he sat in his blue Fiat Doblo at about 11.45pm last night, Tuesday, November 4, two men wearing masks tapped on his window.
One opened the car door, held a gun at him and demanded money.
He handed over £65 before the men then made off through the cemetery.
Armed officers were deployed and officers searched the area with the aid of a police dog and the force plane but were unable to find the men responsible.
Both men were wearing masks, about 5ft 10inches tall, white and of medium build. One was wearing a beige jacket.
Detectives are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about the crime to contact them.
They are asked to call bitterne CID on 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
