Officers from two Portsmouth-based Safer Neighbourhoods teams (SNT) discovered approximately £3,300 worth of cannabis on Sunday, February 6.

Whilst on patrol, Kingston and Nelson SNT PCSOs Robin Richardson and Lucy Nevill noticed a smell of cannabis coming from a property at Tupman House in Wingfield Street, Buckland.

They passed on their concerns to SNT Sergeant Stuart Snow, who searched the property with Kingston PC Alex Jones.

They found 15 full sized plants and growing equipment in an upstairs bedroom.

Dean Durham, 43, of Wingfield Street, was arrested and charged for the possession and cultivation of the class B drug.

Durham was bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on February 14.
