Portsmouth Police appeal for help in tracing missing 11-year-old girl
Press Releases
Published:
25/10/2008
Police in Portsmouth are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a missing 11-year-old girl who was last seen at the end of school at 3.10pm yesterday Friday, October 24.
Officers are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Teigan Pitney who is a pupil at Portchester Community School, White Hart Lane, Portchester.
Her older sister was the last to see her when Teigan refused to get on the school bus. She had earlier told her sister she was going to stay out overnight and showed her that she had her night clothes in her school bag.
Nothing has been heard from Teigan since and she has not been seen by her family or any of her known friends. She had only recently started at the school and it’s thought she is most likely to be in the Portchester, Portsmouth or Havent areas.
Teigan is described as: white, 4ft 7inches tall, slim with long brown hair in a pony tail. She was last seen wearing her school uniform which is a dark blue jumper, black trousers, black jacket Officers are now appealing for Teigan to contact them or her family directly to let them know she is safe and well.
They are also asking anyone else who thinks they may know where she is to contact them urgently. They should call Portsmouth CID on 0845 045 45 45.
