Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a delivery driver was threatened and had a television stolen in George Street, Portsmouth.
At 10.46am on Saturday, September 19, an 18-year-old man from Southampton was working as a delivery driver for Currys home delivery service.
The driver was making a delivery and the rear of the van was open as a result. A man on a bike stopped the driver, threatened him, and then took a television from the back of the van and made off.
The television stolen was a 37 inch Panasonic TXP 370 X10B.
Detective Constable Rachael Kensett said, “This incident was shocking for the delivery driver, who was on his first day in this role. If you witnessed this robbery taking place, or have information on who may have been responsible, please contact the police.”

A 23-year-old man from Portsmouth was arrested today in relation to this offence and currently remains in police custody.
