Police in Portsmouth are issuing an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was robbed of his wallet.

A 31-year-old from Cosham was walking along Havant Road, Drayton near to St Coleman’s Church at around 10.45pm on Saturday August 1. He heard a noise behind him and turned to see three men following him. A short while later he was kicked in the back and fell to the floor, and was then kicked in the neck. His wallet containing £200 in cash was taken.

The three men are described as:

Man 1

• White

• Around 25 years old

• 5 ft 3 tall

• Slim build

• He had a tattoo of a dragon on his left forearm and was wearing a red baseball cap and white t-shirt and black trousers

Man 2

• White

• Approx 28 years old

• Medium build

• 5 ft 2 tall

• Wearing shirt and combat trousers

Man 3

• White

• Approximately 5 ft 2 tall

Detective Constable Sarah Pickles is investigating and said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who saw what happened. Did you see three men making off from the area? “We have good descriptions of people we’d like to speak to, especially the man with a tattoo on his arm. This is an unusual incident for this area and we are hopeful that someone will recognise these men from the descriptions.”
