Police seek information after attempted burglary in Southampton

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary at the Bargate shopping centre in Southampton.  

On Friday August, 19 at around 1am a man forced entry into the shopping centre via the York Walk entrance.  

A door panel was forced to gain entry. An alarm was then activated and the intruder fled from the premises.  

Nothing has been reported stolen or missing.  

The man is described as:

·           Approximately 6ft tall
·           Medium build
·           Wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, blue jeans and white trainers
