Police have released pictures of a variety of silver items stolen during a burglary at St Mary’s Church in Kingsclere.
Some time overnight between July 3 and July 4, offender(s) broke into the church in Swan Street and took several items, including silver chalices, a silver box, silver plate and a quantity of cash.
The items were kept in a locked safe, but the offender(s) managed to open the safe and steal the items.
Officers believe this incident is linked to two other burglaries at the Church of the Ascension in Burghclere between July 10 and 11 and at Oakley Church between July 3 and July 6.
PC Rod Kenny said: “These items have huge sentimental value for the members of the church and are a part of the church’s history.
“If anyone knows anything about these incidents or has been offered these items for sale, please contact me.”
