Police release photographs of stolen property in appeal for owners to come forward

Image of pencil sharpener recovered by police Image of sunglasses recovered by policePolice are releasing four photographs of items thought to be stolen from vehicles in Southsea in an effort to reunite the goods with their owners.

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, August 18, police were alerted after three youths were seen acting suspiciously around parked vehicles in Campbell Road, Southsea.

Police recovered a number of items which are thought to have been stolen from vehicles parked in and around Campbell Road.

There are four outstanding items; a torch, a soft toy, a pencil sharpener and a pair of sunglasses, whose owners have yet to be identified.

PC Chris Smith said, “Though some of the items may not appear to be very expensive they could hold great sentimental value and we are keen to locate the owners as soon as possible. If you think any of this property is yours, please get in contact.

“I would advise vehicle owners to ensure their cars are locked and secure and all times, and remember never leave any items on display.”

The three youths arrested have all been released on bail, to return on October 21.
