Detectives are today releasing an efit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a burglary at an address in Southsea, during which a woman was restrained.
At some time between 7pm and 7.20pm on Wednesday, January 28, a 32-year-old woman was at home at an
address in Rugby Road, Southsea.T
he offenders used the house’s intercom system to call the victim. When the victim answered the intercom one of the men told the victim that he thought that he had caused damage to her car.
When the woman went to the front door to speak to the men, they forced their way into the house.
Once inside, one of the men restrained the woman while the house was searched.
The two men then made off with a quantity of cash and a laptop.
After the men had left, the woman immediately contacted her partner who called police.
Officers have a description of one of the men. He is described as:
- White
- About 6ft
- Fairly well built
- Aged in his late 30s to early 40s
- Dark hair
- Wearing a light coloured jacket, dark trousers and a black hat which covered his ears
Detective Constable Tony Flannagan, said: “I am hoping that someone may recognise this image and be able to help us identify this man. If anyone thinks they may be able to assist I would urge them to contact us as soon as possible.”
