Efit image of man who attacked the victim in CoshamPolice are renewing their appeal for witnesses after a man was assaulted and had his property stolen on Saturday, March 21, by releasing an efit image of one of the men involved.

At 9.15pm a 41-year-old man from Cosham was on Lonsdale Avenue outside of the Salisbury Hotel when he was assaulted by two men, who then took his mobile phone and wallet from his pockets and ran off.

The man suffered cuts and bruises to his right ear and the right side of his head. He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Alexandra hospital and treated for his injuries.

PC Chris Bird said, “I am hoping that someone may recognise the man depicted in this efit image and be able to help us identify him. This was an unprovoked assault made worse by that fact that the offenders then stole items from the victim as he lay injured. If you think you can help please get in contact”
