Police name man who died in Andover

Police are now in a position to name the man who died in Andover yesterday, Friday, August 21.

Steven Griffiths, 38, from King George Road, was involved in an altercation at around 12.30pm in the street where he lived.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

A post mortem examination carried out today confirmed that he died as a result of a stab wound.

Police are continuing to carry out enquiries, with an increased presence in the local area, and are also continuing their appeal for information.

A 45-year-old man who was arrested yesterday currently remains in police custody.
