Detectives investigating an assault on a jogger in Portsmouth have made an arrested.
The assault occurred at around 4.45pm on Wednesday, August 12, when the 36-year-old victim, from Portsmouth, was jogging along a track which runs between Tipner Lake and the M275.
The victim received serious head injuries and remains in a critical condition. He is currently unconscious in the neurological unit at Southampton General Hospital.
A 38-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent and is currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.
