Police are renewing their appeal to help find missing pensioner, Robert Underwood.

Robert Underwood, 78, was last seen at around 1pm yesterday (Wednesday 21) by his family at his home in Soberton, Winchester.

Robert has Alzheimer’s, and police and his family fear he may have lost his way or have become confused.

Robert is described as:

• White

• 5ft 4ins tall

• slight build

• grey hair

• wearing green wellies, a light coloured baseball cap, a dark blue coat and blue jeans

• carrying a broom handle and a tree branch, which he may be using as two walking sticks

Inspector Kelvin Shipp said: “We are obviously very concerned about Robert’s welfare as the weather conditions overnight were poor.

“We continued to search into the early hours and resumed the search again this morning as soon as weather conditions allowed.

“Local officers, PCSOs, dog units, the Force Support Unit and specialist search teams are looking for Robert and we have had a very positive response from the local community who are keen to help us find him.

“As well as continuing the search today we are issuing a photograph of Robert to the media in the hope that someone may have seen him and will get in touch with us.”

Can you help?

Southern Crimestoppers Anyone who sees Robert should contact police on 0845 045 45 45.
