Police issue appeal for witnesses following burglary in Eastney Portsmouth

Police in Portsmouth are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary at an address in Eastney. It happened between 5.45 and 5.50pm on Friday October 30 in Bath Road.

The occupant of the address saw a man in his hallway and challenged him-he then pursued the man through the house and out into the garden. The burglar managed to escape.

He is described as:

• 6 feet tall

• Slim

• Bald or tightly cropped hair

• Wearing a dark “bomber” jacket and jeans

 PC Craig Turner who is investigating said: “It was extremely brave of the occupant to tackle this man and then chase after of him out of the house. If you recognize the description of this man or have any information about the burglary, please get in touch.”
