Police issue appeal for witnesses after man assaulted in Liphook East Hampshire

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Liphook.

It happened on the Millennium Green at around on 7.30pm on Saturday October 29.

Police Constable Simeon Poulton who is investigating said: “On the night of the annual Liphook carnival a fight broke out at the fair on the Millienium Green involving two groups of youths.

“A number of youths were assaulted, with one man sustaining serious facial injuries.”

He added: “This is a very busy event and I feel sure someone must know what happened. If you have any information about this assault please contact us.”

A 17 year old man from Petersfield has been arrested as part of the investigation. He was given bail until November 27.
