Police investigate break-in at shop in Bordon East Hampshire

Press Releases

Published: 19/10/2011

Police are investigating a break-in at a shop in Bordon, East Hampshire.

Between 2 and 5.30 am on Monday October 17, someone broke into the ‘One Stop’ on Ennerdale Road.

Nothing was stolen but a large amount of damage was caused to the roof-it’s thought someone had smashed their way in. Police were alerted by the shop’s alarm being activated.

Officers have recovered some tools left behind.

PC Jessica Sheedy who is investigating said: “Were you in the area at the time of this break-in, and did you see or hear anything suspicious?

“We’d like to hear from anyone with information. The offenders have made a serious attempt to steal from the shop-possibly with the motive of raiding the cash machine-fortunately the shop’s alarm was activated, which must have scared them off."
