Police are investigating an assault on a man in Winchester and are appealing for witnesses.
It happened on Wednesday January 19 at Harwood Place, Kingsworthy at around 8.40pm. A 50-year-old man answered his door and three men forced their way into the address. The man was pushed along a hallway and attacked.
It’s thought one of the men used an extendable truncheon to hit the man on his face and body. The attackers were aged between 20 and 30 and had their faces covered by scarves.
Detective Constable Steve Roman is investigating and said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who saw three men running in Harwood Place or along Pound Road last Wednesday evening.
“The man suffered cuts and bruises to his head and face in the attack, as well as possibly dislocating a finger. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.”
