Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a property in Hole Lane, Curdridge. It happened between 11.45 am and 12 noon on Friday October 21.
The offenders attempted to get into the property by smashing through a window-this was heard by one of the residents, who also who saw a hand through the broken glass trying to open the window lock.
The offenders then ran off around the side of the house and were last seen running up the drive and turning left towards Lockham’s Road.
They did not gain entry into the property and nothing was stolen.
They are described as:
Man 1:
- White
- Aged 20 to 30
- Broad build
- About 6 ft tall
- Clean shaven
- Described as having long legs
- Wearing a dark coloured grey top, lighter jeans, black boots and a dark coloured cap with a short peak
Man 2
- White
- Aged 20 to 30
- Shorter and of lesser build to man one
- Clean shaven
- Long light brown hair (not shoulder length)
- Wearing dark clothing
PC Craig Robinson from Winchester Priority Crime team is investigating and said: “We are looking for anyone who may have seen two men in the Curdridge area at the time of this break-in.
“We’d also like to remind residents to think about home security, particularly with winter drawing in. Ensure that you have adequate security lighting, that you don't answer the door to unannounced callers, and that your house is left locked and secured when you go out.”
