Police are appealing for witnesses after an indecent assault in Southsea, Portsmouth. It happened as a 17-year-old girl from the local area was walking past the Milton Arms pub between 10.30 and 11pm on Friday November 6.

She was approached by a youth-who pestered her, making indecent suggestions and comments. He followed her some way, to her home address.

She has described the youth as:

  • Around 17 years old
  • White
  • Skinny build
  • 5ft 8 tall
  • Large ears and “buck” teeth, shaven dark hair
  • Wearing a khaki green, baggy style jacket, dirty white trainers and possibly jeans

PC Seamus Tyler who is investigating said: “This youth continued to speak to the girl for quite some time and was not even put off by the fact that she phoned her mother, as she was trying to get away from him.

“She has also told us that there was an elderly man on the other side of the road and he may have seen or heard something which could help our investigation.

He added: “As the girl got to her home address this youth slapped her on the bottom. If you have any information at all or recognize this description, please get in touch."
