Police in Portsmouth investigating an assault have issued a CCTV picture of two men they want to speak to. It follows an assault at “Subway” in Lord Montgomery Way, Southsea on Sunday September 7 between 2 and 3am.
A 24-year-old man from Fareham was punched in the face after he tried to intervene in an argument. He was hit three times, resulting in him being knocked to the floor resulting in three fractures to his cheekbone. Three other men were also assaulted in the incident.
The two men police want to speak to are:
Man 1
• White
• In his early 20s
• 6ft 5
• Average build
• Dark brown short hair
• Wearing a grey cardigan, white shirt and blue jeans
• He had a large lump on his head which was bleeding
Man 2
• White
• In his early 20s
• 5ft 11-6ft tall
• Blonde spiky hair
• Skinny build
• Wearing a blue, short sleeve shirt with white striping on the shoulders
DC Ian Cambridge who is investigating said: “The man attacked three people in a matter of seconds. It is apparent that he knows how to handle himself and even may be an amateur boxer or a member of a boxing club. “If you recognize either of these men, get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
