Police in Portsmouth are asking members of the public to look out for a number of items that were stolen in a house burglary over the weekend.
Sometime between 7pm on Saturday, February 18, and 1.30pm on Sunday, February 19, an offender or offenders forced their way into a property in Brougham Road.
The front door panes were smashed, and the door was opened from the inside. A number of items were then taken from the living room of the property.
These items include:
- A Playstation 3 Slim edition, with the original box
- Two wireless Playstation 3 controllers
- Plastation 3 games including ‘Medal of Honour’, ‘Mafia II’, ‘Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood’, ‘Fifa 11’ and ‘Formula 1
’- A navy blue rugby bag
- A mens black French Connection jacket
PC Mark Brockman of the Priority Crime team said: “We are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at the time of the burglary. The stolen rugby bag in particular will be something we encourage people to look out for, as it had ‘Solent Barbarians’ and ‘Akuma Rugby’ printed in white on it, along with ‘MJ’ handwritten on it.
“We would also appeal for anyone who has had these items offered to them for purchase to contact us.
“We are committed to identifying and arresting burglars and reducing burglaries in Portsmouth and ask that you contact us if you have any information regarding this incident.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Brockman at Fratton Police Station on 101 or 0845 045 45 45 if you live outside of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
