Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a spate of burglaries in Petersfield.
Four properties at the Stoneham Park Estate were broken into overnight, between Sunday 25 and Tuesday 27 September.
Officers believe that entry was gained through the letterboxes of the locked front doors in each case. Cash and small electrical items such as cameras, MP3 players and mobile phones were taken.
PC Peter Gott is investigating: “It would appear that these homes were broken into via the letterbox-either the offender used a tool or simply put their hand through to reach the door handle.
“Small items were taken from the homes-these are easily concealable and can be disposed of by selling on quite easily.
“Burglary is a distressing crime and one which we are committed to tackling. Did you see or hear anything suspicious in the area between 25 and 27 September? We welcome any information, however small.”
