Police charge two men following stabbing in Portsmouth

Two men have been charged by police after a stabbing in Portsmouth. It follows an incident in St Faith’s Road, Portsea on July 23. A 31-year-old man from North End was attacked as he got out of a taxi. He suffered severe injuries to his hands and face.

Mark Edward SMITH, 27 of Crasswell Street, Portsea and Anthony William SMITH, 29 of Collington Crescent, Cosham have been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

They were remanded into custody and will appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on February 15, 2010.
