Police charge two men following attack at a Portsmouth pub

Police in Portsmouth have charged two men following an attack on another man at a city pub.

It happened at the White Swan in High Street, Cosham at around 7.30pm on Sunday October 4. A 42-year-old man from Cosham suffered cuts to his face.

 Police have charged David John Nicholson (64) of Regal Close, Cosham with: affray; possession of an offensive weapon; wounding with intent and attempt wounding with intent. He was remanded into custody and is due before South East Hants Magistrates today (October 6).

Arthur Phillip Hicks (57) of Havant Road, Cosham was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm; affray and possession of an offensive weapon. He was given bail until his court appearance on October 13. Police would also like to hear from any witnesses to the incident.
