Police are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision in Basingstoke on Wednesday, September 1.

At around 9.20am a 16-year-old boy was cycling along Norn Hill. As he passed the junction with Queen Mary Avenue a dark car pulled out and collided with the rear wheel of the bicycle.

The cyclist was knocked to the floor and suffered bruising. The car did not stop and drove off.

PC Steve Antrobus, of the Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit, said: “We want to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision or anyone with any information about it.

"The cyclist was fortunate to only receive minor injuries and it could have been much worse.

“We believe the dark saloon vehicle may have been a BMW and we would ask anyone who thinks they have information about it to contact us as soon as possible.”

Can you help?
