Police are appealing for witnesses and information after jewellery and watches were stolen during a burglary at a house in Oakley.

Some time between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on December 30, offender(s) broke into a house in Lomond Close while the residents were away. A quantity of jewellery and watches were stolen.

PC Dave Cook said: “This burglary happened at a house in a quiet cul-de-sac while the residents were away on holiday.

“If you saw anything suspicious that night, please contact me. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to think about their home security and consider using timer switches on lights, for example, and not to leave valuable items on view.”
