Police in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a community hall in Oakridge sometime between Sunday, October 5 and Monday, October 6.

Between 7pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday a panel of glass was removed from a window at the rear of the Norden Community Hall in Forsythia Walk.

A laptop, two cameras and cash were then stolen from the venue. PC Kate Towerton, of Basingstoke police station, said: “A lot of damage was caused to the hall which meant a day surgery and nursery had to shut for the day.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area on Sunday night.”
