Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a teenager was assaulted in Basingstoke.

At around 11pm on Saturday, October 29, several young people had spilled out onto the street in Falcon Close, following a house party.

A neighbour went out of her house to complain about the noise and there was then an incident which resulted in a 16-year-old girl being assaulted. The girl sustained a cut to her lip.

PC Lee Bishop said: “There would have been lots of people around at the time who saw what happened, so I would appeal to them to come forward and tell me what they know.”
