Police are appealing for information after a number of rabbits were found abandoned in the New Forest.

On Sunday, August 9, four rabbits were found near to Woosens car park, on the Ornamental Drive leading up to Bolderwood.

It is believed the owner had tipped out the entire contents of a hutch, because straw, newspaper, cabbage and carrots were all found nearby

The rabbits had taken refuge in a nearby culvert. They were unharmed and are currently safe and well.

It is thought the rabbits had only been left there around a day or so before they were discovered.
