Police appeal for witnesses after pedestrian injured in Basingstoke crash
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious injuries following a crash on the A340 Aldermaston Road in Basingstoke.
The man, a 24-year-old from Basingstoke, was crossing the road at about 8.40pm on Tuesday, July 27, when the crash occurred.
The vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa driven by a 21-year-old man also from Basingstoke, was travelling south at the time.
The pedestrian sustained serious head injuries and a broken leg and was taken to the North Hampshire Hospital, where his condition is said to be improving.
The driver of the Corsa was not injured. Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the man – who was with a woman - crossing the road or who saw the crash happen.
