Police appeal for witnesses after man dies in Southsea Portsmouth

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in Southsea, Portsmouth.

The 24-year-old from Gosport died after falling from the roof of a four storey building in Waverley Road at around 3am today.

Detective Inspector Darren Rawlings who is investigating said: “We’d like to hear from anyone in the area who saw or heard two people on the roof in the early hours of the morning.

”We are carrying out a number of enquiries in the area to establish what happened including speaking to residents. “

A Home Office post mortem examination of the man’s body will be carried out today.”

A 27-year-old woman from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently being questioned.
