Police appeal for witnesses after cyclist injured in Cosham

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy was injured following a collision with a car.

The schoolboy was riding his pedal cycle along Old Manor Way at about 8.30am on Wednesday, September 15, when the incident happened.

At the junction with Tregaron Avenue, a silver car was in collision with the cyclist, knocking him from his bike.

The driver of the car didn’t stop and continued eastbound along Old Manor Way.

The boy, who is from Cosham, suffered a sprained wrist, bruising to his hip and a minor head injury.

He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham for treatment and later released.
