Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary in Old Basing where offender(s) damaged the front and rear patio doors.

Some time between 1am and 2am on Tuesday, December 6, offender(s) tried to gain entry to a house in Crabtree Way. It is believed they used tools to try and get in but fortunately they were unsuccessful and nothing was taken.

PC Lee Bishop said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who heard a disturbance or saw anything suspicious in Crabtree Way.

“Fortunately these offenders didn’t get into the house, but I would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to ensure their homes and property are secure at all times.”
